Sitehelm PRO tour

See the paperwork you do every week

Every screen on this page is from the app as it is today, filled in for an example job. Pick the job once and every tool knows which job you're on.

Take-off with lengths, areas and counts measured on a floor plan
  • Scale checked for you. Sitehelm reads it off the title block and checks it against the drawing's own dimensions.
  • Lengths, areas and counts, grouped in folders by trade, with heights and depths for walls and digs.
  • Straight into a quote, or out to Excel and a PDF of the drawing with your measurements on it.
A quote for a rear extension with preliminaries, labour and materials priced
  • Labour as you think about it. Type 2 x 10 x 8 for two people, ten days, eight hours.
  • VAT your way: 20%, 5%, zero-rated, no VAT, or the domestic reverse charge wording.
  • One click to an invoice, and another for each stage payment.
Risk assessment for excavating foundations, with hazards, risk scores and control measures
  • 104 tasks in 13 folders, from site set-up and demolition to roofing and M&E.
  • Your site details go in. Edit the hazards and controls to suit the job before you issue it.
  • RAMS packs: several tasks for one job, numbered and kept together.

Safety paperwork. Sitehelm's RAMS, COSHH and CDM templates are a starting point. A competent person must check them for each job. You stay responsible for safety on your site.

Site diary page with weather, the day's key activities and the staff on site
  • Weather filled in once the job's location is set. Useful when you claim an extension of time.
  • People, deliveries and visitors recorded, with yesterday's carried over.
  • Mileage logged as you go, ready for a claim at HMRC rates.
Twelve-week construction programme with stages and the Christmas closure
  • Tick the activities from a library of construction stages, then drag the bars into place.
  • Closures built in, like Christmas and Easter, plus any weeks you block out.
  • Links and the critical path, out to PDF and Excel.
Sitehelm home page with a list of jobs (a house extension, Crossness Pumping Station and the Royal Albert Bridge), a to-do list and the tools laid out as tiles
  • Each job is a folder with its own colour, so you always know which job you're in.
  • Search everything: jobs, quotes, RFIs, diaries, reports and people.
  • A to-do list that tools add to, like RIDDOR deadlines from the accident book.

Your data

Your jobs. Your data. Your kit.

Your jobs save to your own devices and your own cloud storage. Phone-to-PC sync is optional. Share any drawing, quote or RAMS as a PDF, and back up by keeping your Sitehelm folder in OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox.

Works with Claude

Ask your own Claude app to do the typing

Add the Sitehelm plugin to Claude on your PC and ask it to read your diary, price a take-off or draft a letter. What you ask Claude to read goes to Anthropic under your own Claude account, not through Sitehelm. You never need Claude to use Sitehelm.

On your own devices

Sitehelm PRO runs on your Windows PC, and later on your phone. Your jobs save there.

In your own cloud

Connect Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox and share job folders with your team the way you do now.

Ordinary files

Quotes, RAMS, letters and programmes come out as PDF, Word and Excel files that open in anything.

Nothing deleted behind your back

Sitehelm is built not to delete files from your folders: delete something in Sitehelm and it goes to its own recycle bin. One backup zip holds every record and file, and restoring keeps the newer copy of anything.

Who's behind it

Built by a working site manager

Sitehelm was born out of years of working in the building trade, and far too much time spent on the paperwork that comes with modern building. From site diaries to take-offs and invoicing, Sitehelm will speed up every task in your day and help make sure nothing is missed.

Founder's statement

Sitehelm is in its infancy, but we already believe it offers something unique. From one-man bands to tier 1 contractors, Sitehelm has something for everyone.

To reward early adopters, we'll price lock your plan for life. Even if you leave and come back, as long as you register with the same email address.

Our goal is simple:

  • Provide an affordable, value-for-money service.
  • Provide better quality, simpler tools for your computer and phone.
  • Cut the time you spend on admin and sending information to each other, with automatic team sharing.
  • Replace half a dozen clunky apps on your site phone with one easy app that saves time.

Get on board now and help shape what Sitehelm becomes.

You may need 100 tools on a building site, but Sitehelm will be the one you need in the office.

Questions

Before you sign up

Something not covered here? Ask in the sign-up form or email [email protected] and you'll get a straight answer.

What's the difference between Sitehelm Free and Sitehelm PRO?

Sitehelm Free runs in your browser and is free for good, with or without an account. No card needed. Measure from a drawing, Easy CAD, Edit PDF and Weather work in full (their PDFs carry the Sitehelm logo, which PRO replaces with your own branding), and every PRO tool opens so you can have a look.

Sitehelm PRO is the full site office: your jobs and work saved, PDFs, Word and Excel from every tool, the Windows app (with a phone app to follow), and your files in your own cloud. It's coming soon.

How much will Sitehelm PRO cost?

Regular prices are £199 a year for one seat, £299 a year for three seats and £599 a year for ten. More than ten seats: price on request.

The first 500 people to sign up get their first year free, then the founding price of £99/yr for life - half the regular price. Once those 500 places are claimed, the next 1,000 customers get the same founding price of £99/yr, for life.

Is the first year really free?

Yes. Sign up now and you get a free 1-year Sitehelm PRO licence when it launches, with every tool. When the year ends you choose whether to carry on, and if you do, you keep the founding price (£99/yr) for life.

What does 'founding price for life' mean?

Everyone in the first 500 locks in the founding price (£99/yr, half the regular £199) for Sitehelm PRO, starting after their free first year. You keep that price for life, even when prices go up for everyone else, and even if you pause or cancel your membership and come back later, as long as you use the same email address.

Is there a referral scheme?

Yes. Every Sitehelm PRO user gets a referral link. With our launch referral offer, when someone you refer becomes a paying customer, they get £50 off and you get £50 of site credit off your next year. You can take the credit as cash instead, at 50p in the pound (£25).

There's no limit on how many people you refer. Rewards are paid once the person you referred is past their 28-day money-back period.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes. If you're not happy within 28 days of paying for Sitehelm PRO, tell us and we'll refund you in full. No questions asked.

Will my licence renew automatically?

No. Licences are set not to renew. Your licence only renews if you choose to switch auto-renew on, and you can switch it off again at any time.

Is there an education licence?

Yes, and it's free for colleges, training providers and construction students. Get in touch through the sign-up form.

What about bigger firms?

Three seats are £299 a year and ten seats £599 a year. For more than ten seats, get in touch through the sign-up form for a price.

Does it handle VAT and CIS?

Quotes and invoices handle 20%, 5%, zero-rated, no VAT and the domestic reverse charge. Your VAT number goes on every quote and invoice.

The subcontractor payments sheet works out CIS deductions at 0%, 20% or 30%, with retention. Sitehelm doesn't file your CIS return; your accountant's software still does that.

Can I rely on the RAMS, COSHH and CDM templates?

Sitehelm's RAMS, COSHH and CDM templates are a starting point. A competent person must check them for each job. You stay responsible for safety on your site.

Put your site details in, then edit the hazards and controls to suit the job before you issue anything.

Can I invoice in stages?

Yes. Make an invoice from a quote in one click, then another from the same quote for each stage. There's also an application for payment letter and a valuations sheet with retention.

Can I use my own drawings?

Yes, as PDFs. Sitehelm reads the scale, checks it against the dimensions on the drawing and tells you if they don't agree. CAD files such as DWG need exporting to PDF first.

Can I bring in my existing quotes and spreadsheets?

Quotes can be brought in from Excel, the spreadsheet tool opens and saves Excel files, and the document tool opens Word files you've been sent.

Where are my files kept, and what if I stop?

Your jobs save to your own devices and your own cloud storage. Phone-to-PC sync is optional.

Quotes, letters, RAMS and the rest save as ordinary PDF, Word or Excel files in your own folders, and in your own Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox if you connect it, so they stay yours whatever you decide.

Can my team work on the same jobs?

Yes, with Sitehelm PRO. Team sharing is part of PRO, which is coming soon. Until then, you can share job folders with each other in your own cloud storage.

Is there a free version?

Yes. Sitehelm Free is free for good. No card needed, nothing to install, and you can use it with or without an account: it runs in your browser.

Measure from a drawing, Easy CAD, Edit PDF and Weather work in full, PDFs included. PDFs made in Free carry the Sitehelm logo (big on Easy CAD drawings, small in the corner on Edit PDF), and Sitehelm PRO puts your own branding on them instead. Every PRO tool opens in Free so you can have a look; using them for real comes with Sitehelm PRO. Locked buttons show a padlock, so you can always see what upgrading adds.

Does it work on a Mac?

Sitehelm PRO's desktop app is for Windows. Sitehelm Free runs in an up-to-date browser on any Windows PC or Mac.

Does it link to Xero or QuickBooks?

Not yet. Invoices and registers export to Excel and PDF for your accountant.

Does Sitehelm use my data to train AI?

No. Your jobs save to your own devices and your own cloud storage, and phone-to-PC sync is optional. If you use the Claude plugin, what you ask Claude to read goes to Anthropic under your own Claude account and their terms.

Does it do domestic jobs as well as commercial?

Yes. Extensions, conversions and refurbishments are the everyday work it's built for, and the construction phase plan covers domestic jobs too.
